Where I'm from
There is a lake
Often mistaken
For an ocean

For a little while
You can dance among the waves
These are the days
Of my youth

Where you come from
You can see for miles around
Plenty of tumbleweeds
And fresh turned earth

Your roots are deep
Your memories sweet
So take a little walk with me

Where we are going
There is no knowing
But there's no going
Alone

  1. You must have known your blog was about to get the cut from my bookmarks toolbar! I put it there over a year ago so I could easily check in. Well, since you hadn't posted anything since July, just yesterday (no joke) I decided to take it off the toolbar and move it to the bookmarks menu, so I could make room for something I use more often. And your blog got insulted and told you to post something- and quick!

If this is a song I want to hear it! If a poem, I like its sweet simplicity.

    Miss you tons.
